The keenly awaited Nyrex grain bin was unveiled last month at the Trufab Global open day in Cunderdin.
More than 100 guests braved wintry conditions to see the new state-of-the-art bin in action, unloading grain three times faster than its predecessors.

The practical demonstration allowed guests to witness the 22-inch auger with a reach-adjustable poly spout and full-length end-operated clean-out door — just some of its more notable features.
Trufab Global sales representative Trent Trewarn said the demonstration was a key part of the day’s program, illustrating to growers the capabilities of the new machine.
“The live demonstration was very well received and growers could see firsthand how efficient this machine really is,” he said.
The new bin is manufactured using high-performance steel modular panels made by Swedish imported Strenx steel, fastened — with military-grade Huck Bolts.
As part of the day, guests had direct access to Trufab suppliers, including Sly Agri, Australian Tyre Traders, Strenx Steel, HuckBolt and Topcon Scales.
Mr Trewarn said it was important for customers to be able to talk directly to Trufab suppliers, to understand the quality of this next-generation Nyrex bin.
“The suppliers outlined what their products are used for, and showed growers the quality of their workmanship to demonstrate that the Nyrex grain bin really is the top of its class in quality and durability,” he said.
Mr Trewarn said Stenx steel, imported from Sweden, was also used to manufacture industrial tower cranes.
“Stenx steel is up to 50 per cent stronger than the mild steel used in other grain bins, meaning the Nyrex bin is a more flexible product with reduced cracking and reduced wear and tear,” he said.
“I think growers really appreciated the opportunity to speak firsthand to our suppliers and understand the strong relationships we have all through the supply chain.”
Also displaying at the open day were other regional businesses, including Baxter’s Rural, Wheatbelt Steel, Rhino Buckets, Dome Shelter Australia and Brookfield Farming.
Guests travelled from across the Wheatbelt to attend the open day, and were treated to a Nyrex-branded steak for lunch.
“We were very pleased with the turnout for the day, and I think growers were quite impressed with the speed and efficiency of the Nyrex bin,” Mr Trewarn said.
Trufab Global will be demonstrating the Nyrex grain bin at all the major field days across the country in preparation for the 2017 harvest period.
